Andrews participated in the Governor's School whil attending Dreher and received a Thomas Jefferson Scholarship to the University of Virginia, where he was a counselor to emotionally disturbed children. He was an administrative manager of Curry Development Co of Atlanta. Educated in Columbia, she was a member of the Gray Ladies during WWII serving at Ft. Jackson. After the death of her husband in 1959, she founded and operated a printing shop in Columbia.

Following her retirement and until her move to The Pines, she lived with her sister, Edythe H. Fowble at Lake Murray, S.C. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, St. Paul's and Incarnation in Columbia. Surviving are her son and daughter-inlaw.

After serving in the Army, Saul relocated to Philadelphia, where he worked as a city medical researcher, state sanitarian, executive director of Hartranft Community Urban Center and regional training manager for the National Housing and Redevelopment Organization of Washington D.C. He retired a nursing home administrator with Faith Health Care Facility of Florence.

Community involvements include being a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. for 44 years, American Legion Post 22 of Florence, S.C. State Children's Bureau Commission and an active volunteer in many local, state and national political wife.
